GRE ANALYTICAL WRITING

The score range for your verbal reasoning is 130-170. The time is 70 minutes for the paper-based test with 2 sections and 50 questions. The period for computer-based is 60 minutes with 2 sections and 40 questions. 

GRE QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE

This section examines your logical action as you are also given with numerical problems. This determines your problem solving and data interpretation skills. The score range is 130-170. You have 2 sections with 50 questions for 80 minutes whereas you are given only 70 minutes for 2 sections and 40 questions in the computer-based test. 
The unscored and research section varies for a computer-based test in a GRE. 

REGISTRATION

The official website for the GRE test is https://www.ets.org/gre. You have to create an ETS account into yourself. You have to select the type of test you want to appear i.e. GRE general or subject test. You can see the time and location. Academic details is a must to get. GRE TEST FEE

The cost of the GRE is US$ 205. You will be charged extra if you want to reschedule the test day or change the centres. The fee for the GRE Subject test if US$105 where $50 will be changer ad additional cost if you want to change the specialized subject. 

MEDIUM OF TEST

GRE is a text around the year at most of the test centres whereas paper-based test takes place thrice a year in absence of availability of the computer-based testing system. You can take the date throughout the year for computer-based test and retake can be done after 21 days up to 5 times with an interval of 12 months. The paper-based test is conducted thrice in a year. 

PERIOD

The computer-based test lasts for 3 hours and 45 minutes whereas you are only given 3 hours and 30 minutes for a paper-based test in GRE. 

SCOREBOARD

The score range in a GRE is within 260- 340. The highest possible score on the GRE is 340 whereas the individual scoring range is mentioned above. 6 is the highest score for your analytical skills. 151 and 153 are the average score for verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning respectively.
